Reflections

Before I joined the sister club where Ms. Hawkins was the sponsor, I was a shy and no one could figure out my personality. As I engaged myself in conversations with Ms. Hawkins I've learned several life lessons that made me a better person as well as a woman; and these lessons I cherish as well as applying them within my daily life.
My personality is still a work in progress but all in all Ms. Hawkins is my motivator11. It does not matter witch club or organization she is involved in it's the change in the future women that makes her great.

Loving, driven, epitome of excellence at its best are all words I can use to describe Mrs. Hawkins. Not often do you find someone who is so compassionate about helping and contributing to another persons happiness. Whenever she puts her mind to something she gives it her all and is so committed to seeing it succeed and excel. Trustworthy, responsible, sweet, and intelligent are all attributes Mrs. Hawkins possesses. I can always count her on her to be honest and reliable, kind and caring, and brilliant. She is such a beautiful person inward and outward. I am so grateful and thankful to have her in my life as my mentor, counselor, friend, and a second mother. I couldn't see Sistahs Ca'nect being led by anyone other than Mrs. Hawkins and I await all the great things she has in store for the young ladies who are a part of this great program.

Hi ladies!! My name is Stephanie Senat; I am a former sister Love member and president from Miami Norland Senior high and currently a junior at Florida A&M University. I met Mrs. Sandra Hawkins at the beginning of my junior year of high school while looking for a sponsor to take over our club sister Love. Our principal had mentioned great things about her, so I asked her to become our sponsor and she accepted the offer. I am thankful she became our sponsor because since then she became more than a sponsor to me, she was like my mother that work at the same school I attend. She would have lunch ready for me during lunch time, she always knew when something was wrong as soon as I walked in her office, some days I even had to stay after school late to help finish her daily assignment and all my teacher would just call her for any little thing I did. She went above and beyond for our club and even her young ladies that were members we were honestly one big happy family, she taught us how to look out for each other and to be one. Being a part of an all ladies mentoring organization with such a great sponsor is life changing, this beautiful, motivated, and intelligent, black woman has a lot in store for you ladies as her future girls in Sistahs CaNect She is the best sponsor, sister, mentor, friend, teacher and mother any young lady can have in their life. Being a teen age girl can be very difficult especially during tough times and I wouldn't know anyone else to refer a young girl to speak to beside Mrs. Hawkins, she just knows the right things to say and do, till now we are still as close as we was when I was in high school and I still call her for advise, prayer or any little thing there is. I consider myself blessed and very grateful for knowing Mrs. Sandra Hawkins aka (My Mommy). I love her with all my heart and one day you will get a chance to love her same :-)

For those who know Ms. Hawkins, they would consider her as one of the sweetest and kindness people in the world. First of all, Ms. Hawkins is a very talented woman. She's good at what she does; as a matter facts she's great.

I can honestly say that Ms. Hawkins is like a mother to me. During my middle school years Ms. Hawkins was the only woman there for me. She taught me everything I needed to know as far as telling me how to dress as a young lady and how to speak proper English. Whenever I would get in trouble or into an argument with someone she would be the one to calm me down. She is the only one that I would listen too, because she knows the right things to say.

Ms. Hawkins was not just my favorite; she was all the girls' favorite. That's why I thank god for having a

Person like her in my life and I hope that she will be

successful in life and help many more young woman in life; the same way she help me to become a better person.

Being a part of the SISTER Club helped me appreciate so many things that life offered me. It helped me reach many goals in life. The events and field trips help prepare me for the future and my career path. I would not have been able to achieve this without patience, dedication, and the help of my sponsor, Ms. Hawkins.
